Our client, a multi-billion pound turnover consumer business with a strong brand presence, seeks a Technology Audit Manager, Cyber Security and Information Security for its expanding audit team.
The internal audit function is going through an exciting period of change and development to better meet the needs of the business as it expands. Internal audit works proactively with the business to provide impactful and independent assurance over the effectiveness of business’ internal control environment and provides an objective assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, internal control, compliance and governance procedures.
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will be involved in the planning and responsible for delivering a broad range of reviews across the business, focusing on cyber security and information security, IT general controls (ITGC) and providing expertise on joint audits with the main audit team. This is an autonomous role for someone who is looking for independence and accountability and provides a unique opportunity for interactions with key senior stakeholders.
Applicants should come from a strong IT audit or information security / cyber security background, ideally with experience of working within a highly regulated environment.
As you will be the ‘face’ of IT audit, excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate technical matters to non-technical people within the business.
Whilst this is an autonomous role, collaboration and teamwork is key to the success of the team.
Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- IT audit with practical information security / cyber security governance experience
- Certified / qualified in IT audit or IT security - CISA, CISSP, QICA, Information Security Msc or equivalent
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Proactive and motivated
- Able to work with autonomy as well as in a team
