Excellent opportunity for an ambitious IT Internal Audit Manager to join this high growth insurance services business with many of the leading household name insurance brands and partners. In just a couple of decades, the Peterborough based Group has grown to become one of the UK’s largest consumer insurance groups and expanded into other financial services. They’ve helped more than 10 million customers, created some iconic brands and achieved sustained profit growth for more than 20 years.
They are currently looking for a Senior IT Audit Manager to contribute to the strategic direction of Internal Audit, help plan and deliver insightful audit opinions focusing on technology and help drive process, risk and control improvement. You will Focus on all aspects of technology, develop the Group’s ability to audit IT applications systems and processes.
The role spans the whole Group, and is an opportunity for involvement in all business units and support functions. The role is increasingly important as the Group has ambitious plans for continued growth. You will manage departmental resources and external resources (co-source).
The role would suit someone who is a qualified auditor or is looking to become qualified. Demonstrable experience of internal and/or external audit with sound business audit experience is expected and this should include the documentation of business and IT processes, risks and related controls. Excellent report writing skills and experience of providing reports to Audit Committee level is essential as is the ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships across the business.
This is a risk-focussed, forward looking audit function where you will be given the tools and skills to develop and progress either in audit or in the wider business.
