Due to successive growth we have been instructed by a Big Four professional services firm with an established and respected technology risk function to identify a new Senior Manager for them who can support the Director in growing the business further by leading this team of four practice areas, namely; internal IT audit, risk assurance, data and controls reporting. The location alone makes this a very different prospect to most not only in terms of professional development and scope, but also in terms of lifestyle and when coupled with the highly favourable tax regime (you will pay no more than 20% income tax, and potentially less) on the island this is a role for real consideration.
Some flexibility exists over your current level and the firm in question could happily look at anyone from a Manager who is now ready for and relishes the prospect of a move up to and is keen to succeed and prove themselves to an experienced Senior Manager who has a track record already but is looking for something different - an entirely fresh challenge or different environment. In any case, they are able to offer the chance of working with a wide range of high profile and well respected global financial services clients and whilst they would certainly prefer to see candidates that have worked in the sector already they are not opposed to developing exceptional people who are keen to make the move across to the banking, capital markets, fund management space, at the same time offering a far superior work life balance than London.
Naturally, you must be a credible IT Audit professional and have a strong awareness across a broad range of technology risks, cyber security and data protection issues and ideally some exposure to data analytics and emerging technologies. You will also have a demonstrable track record of professional success, and will be able to promote yourself internally and externally. As mentioned you will head up 4 teams, and be responsible for overseeing the managers within them. Coaching and mentoring will form a significant part of your role as will some business development and cross selling where appropriate the firms other services.
In turn, you will managed by an inspirational Director who has really established the practice and lead it's growth to date and who is hiring this newly created role, and as such career prospects are very real.
