Stratford is now East London’s primary retail, cultural and leisure centre. It has also become the second most significant (after Canary Wharf) business location in the east of the capital.
IAC is currently working with an instantly recognisable FTSE 250 entertainment business based in London to support them in building a best-in-class Internal Audit team.
The Internal Audit function has recently been brought in-house and the Head of Internal Audit is currently looking to hire an experienced Senior Internal IT Auditor to support the ongoing development of the function.
Primary responsibility will be to provide independent, objective assurance as to the effectiveness of the organisation’s control framework. This will be primarily through the development and delivery of the annual audit plan to the business. As such, you will be responsible for working closely with the business to deliver that plan and partnering the senior executives in order to remediate any issues arising.
Additionally, you will also be responsible for the mentoring and supervision of more junior auditors to support the assurance work being performed across the organisation.
The Senior Internal IT Auditor will be highly visible within the business and you’ll gain vast exposure to Senior Management. The role requires you to deliver full end-to-end audits and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain exposure to Audit Committee reporting.
The successful candidate is likely to hold a formal IT audit qualification (CISA/ISACA) with previous IT internal audit experience. Candidates coming from a pure external audit background with a strong core IT audit skills, knowledge of IIA professional standards and understanding of up-to-date IT auditing methodologies and concepts will also be considered. You’ll be a confident communicator and happy to work in fast-paced and changing environment. This is not an established function and you must be comfortable in planning and delivering audits that haven’t been performed before.
This is a rare role that offers the opportunity to develop and grow an internal audit function within an entrepreneurial FTSE 250 organisation.
The role requires some UK and International travel, however this will not exceed a maximum of 10% of the time.
