Role: Senior IT Auditor (reporting to the Head of IT Audit)

Travel: 40-50%

Location: Basel – Switzerland

Language: English (And or German)

Reporting to: Head of IT Audit

Our client are a leading listed multi-national are currently seeking an experienced Senior IT Auditor to join their team, which is located in Basel, Switzerland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of experts in their field whilst also growing within a leading listed internationally focused company.

Team size
You would be joining a team of just under 10 people.

Audit Department structure
Internally- the structure is flat and you would report directly to the Head of IT Audit.

In this position you will mainly focused on infrastructure and application audits. There will on average be a maximum of 21 weeks on audits and approximately 7 audit blocks per year.

Dynamic Approach to audit
You will also be exposed to evolving technologies such as cloud computing, analytics, advanced analytics and robotics.

International travel
This job also offers international travel opportunities – globally (up to 40-50%).

Travel structure
You will have the opportunity to travel with a team of 3-4 people during the audits.

The business relationship with Audit.
Audits perception within the business is very strong being a valued business partner. All members of the team also have a relationship management role within the business as part of their IT Audit responsibilities.

Fluency in English is required. Another language is a help (Italian, German, Spanish).

Responsibilities include:

• Conducts IT audit, infrastructure and applications audits in close coordination with the other members of the IT audit team.

• Lead team (as Team Leader) on select audits, providing oversight and ensuring high quality audit execution, being the focal contact with the business auditee.

• Demonstrates IT audit skills and techniques for conducting interviews, data analysis.

• Work is performed timely, is of high quality, and is done in accordance with internal audit standards.

• Identifies risks, evaluates effectiveness of controls within the business , and develops recommendations for process and control improvements.

• Prepares direct, professional and constructive audit reports that add value to the company and management.

• Audit observations are factual, supported with root cause analysis, and proposed action plans are pragmatic and actionable.

• Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills within the audit team, in managing own relations with management, and in presenting own audit results.

• May perform special projects and other duties, and provides input to audit practices, tools and administrative activities.

• Maintains professional and business knowledge and skills.

High potential individual with strong business acumen, commitment to excellence, and a team player looking to join a dynamic internal audit team. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree as a plus. Must have three years or more of IT audit experience.
