Engineering & Architecture Auditor
Up to £70,000
Your new company
My client is a top tier investment bank currently undergoing an expansion within their Internal Audit function. They are looking for an Engineering Architecture Auditor who can work with the Chief Technology Office (CTO) audit team in their London office. The CTO function oversees technology enabling components inclusive of top quality engineering and architecture tools and practices. The team drives efforts on key areas as Technology Portfolio Management and Rationalization, Platform and Application Program Interface (API) strategy, Development Practices, Reference Architecture, Data Architecture and Technology Data Management.
This is a fantastic opportunity for technology specialists and IT auditors who want to learn and develop their risk and controls technology expertise and take part in firm-wide global technology audit projects.
Your new role
This role gives you the opportunity to work closely with business and technology audit colleagues to ensure that key technology risks are identified and assessed. You will be involved in all aspects of audits including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting and follow up and verification of issue closure. Furthermore, as a technology specialist, you will be given creative licence to explore emerging technologies (i.e. block chain, robotics) and assess how these could be utilised within the internal audit department.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will come from a strong technical background with knowledge of technology architecture, system engineering and/or data management with a genuine interest in emerging technologies. Ideally you understand internal control concepts and have the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of controls by considering business and technology risks in an integrated manner. Previous audit experience is desirable but not required. Ultimately, CISA, CISSP, ISSAP or ISSEP are considered an advantage.
